Racks are often paired with a circular gear, known as a pinion, which meshes with them. Available in a length of 100’’, our racks have a maximum diametral pitch of 2, although we can also manufacture racks with a maximum diametral pitch of 3 upon special request. Our racks are used by our client base in the automotive, CNC machining, gate and door, industrial lifting, railways and press machinery sectors.

APPLICATIONS

- Automotive Sector: Racks are mainly used in conjunction with a pinion in the vehicle’s steering system to convert rotational motion of the wheel into linear motion

- CNC Machining: In the case of CNC machining, racks serve to convert rotational motion into linear motion in  a precise manner

- Gate And Door: Automated gates and doors use racks to open and close them effectively in a sliding motion

- Industrial Lifting: They are primarily used in elevators and hoists to convert the rotational motion of the motor into a vertical linear motion

- Railway: Racks are mainly used in railways, especially in steep gradients where adhesion does not offer enough traction and requires additional traction

- Press Machine: Racks enable precise linear motion in press machines, which emerge as an excellent alternative to hydraulics
